For me, the easiest habit is accepting responsibility for my own learning. So often we tend to blame someone else if we don't learn something. Students often blame their teachers if they fail to learn, when they have made no effort to do so. There are so many resources available. I feel one just has to have the desire to learn and access those resources. I love learning, so there is no question in my mind, as to what I will do, when I don't understand something. I tend to do a lot of searching---in books, on the internet, asking my colleagues, etc. until I understand. I often spend a lot of time in this endeavor. However, it is usually worth it.
The hardest habit for me is using technology to my advantage, basically because I get frustrated when it doesn't work properly. Sometimes my computer locks up. Then I have to start all over. Also, I have dial-up at home and sometimes it takes so much time for a page to load that I just give up. I also do not feel comfortable with technology. I need and want to learn about different technologies that can make things easier for me. There are numerous educational videos on the internet that I would like to show my classes, but they will not load. My tech mentor has informed me that he will help me with this next school year. However, his time is limited just like every one else's.

Dial up would be a real pain! That makes it imposable to play at home with those educational videos.
